International Program

Oak Crest Academy welcomes international students seeking an enrichment experience, or a high school diploma. International students may enroll at either one of our two campuses.  International students have come to Oak Crest Academy from countries around the world, with our most recent international students coming from Korea, China, Russia, and Japan.

Oak Crest Academy is a unique school focusing on gifted and talented students. We believe that international students create a diverse and expansive educational environment for our students. In addition to our rigorous gifted curricula, Oak Crest Academy offers many enrichment opportunities, foreign language, hot lunch, and after school care for our students.

Oak Crest Academy offers programs for grades K-12.  We offer full year programs, but accept international students for any length of time. Please note that our high school program is only available at our Tarzana location.  This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

Tuition for international students can be found on our website under the Tuition and Fees Schedule or by clicking here https://www.oakcrestacademy.org/tuition/

To apply for our international program, please follow the steps below.

Step #1 – Submit the online admissions application.

Step #2 – While completing the online application, please send the following to admissions@oakcrestacademy.org.

  1. An official copy of student’s grades/ transcripts from past two years of academics, including English translation and school seal
  2. A scanned copy of student’s passport (and visa or green card, if applicable)
  3. A scan of a recent photo of applicant
  4. A scan of an official copy of bank statement with sufficient funds for tuition and fees
  5. A scan of international immunization record in English
  6. A writing sample, in English, from the students

Step #3 – Once we receive the application and all documents, schedule a Skype video interview for student and parents. Video interviews last about 20 minutes. We greet and meet student and parents. If parents don’t speak English, they are welcome to have an interpreter with them during the Skype video interview.

Step #4 – Following the interview, a decision will be made regarding admission to Oak Crest Academy. The acceptance decision will be emailed to the student and parents.

Step #5 – If the student is accepted, the I-20 will be sent to the family by mail after the full tuition and fees are paid and the enrollment contract is submitted.

Please note that Oak Crest Academy does not provide on-site or off-site boarding of international students.  All boarding must be done separately.
