Step 1: Schedule a tour.
We open the doors and invite potential parents and students to tour Oak Crest Academy. This gives potential families opportunities to see how our students move through the day, meet with our Head of School, and watch our philosophy in action. This required tour provides valuable first-hand experiences for you to reflect on throughout the rest of the admissions process. Once you have toured our campus, you may proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Testing.
Please attach one of the following tests to your application. If you do not have a test to attach, please contact our office to schedule a group testing time for your child. There is no additional cost to the family for this test.
· Stanford Binet (L-M)
· Wescher Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), or Wechsler Preschool and Primary (WPPSI)
· Woodcock Johnson
· Ravens Progressive Matrices
Step 3: Child Visit.
We invite your child to spend the day at Oak Crest Academy. A shadow day is an integral part of the application process. This day allows your child to experience all that Oak Crest Academy offers. You may schedule a shadow day by contacting the office at (805) 200-3087 or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 4. Apply Online.
The Oak Crest application form is online. Click here to Apply. Once you have completed the Application and paid the fee, your application will be processed. Please allow 1 week for processing. Note: please attach a copy of one of the accepted giftedness tests to your application. If your child has not been tested, please contact our office to schedule a testing day.
